Anger Management

New York, NY. The management of the New York Rangers has reacted with a public move to the recent losing streak with only one win out of the last ten games (1-8-1). “As of now, we have some players on the trade block,” said Rangers GM Mischa Wyboris, “and there would be even more if we were allowed to trade newly signed players from the recent UFA market.”
Among the Blueshirts apparently considered expendable are Hall-of-Fame winger Patrick Kane as well as Claude Giroux, one of the league’s best faceoff centers and also first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee. Wingers Troy Terry and Garnet Hathaway as well as center Michael McLeod are also expected to be available.
Measured against this year’s expectations of returning to the Stanley Cup Finals, the Rangers got off to a disastrous start form which they bounced back with a ten-game winning streak powered by backup goalie Jonathan Quick in net. However, the successful run was followed by another 1-8-1 collapse in which Blueshirts head coach Jon Cooper made various tactical changes and put numerous different line combinations on the ice -- to no avail.
Meanwhile, the Rangers’ management left unanswered whether a change of coach is currently on the cards.
